Of course, with so much resource at hand, AT&T has shown their interests in acquiring Qualcomm’s spectrum for $1.9 billion. Apparently, the FCC has just recently approved AT&T’s purchase of the spectrum, with a 3-1 vote in favor of the acquisition.

Although AT&T got the green light from FCC, there are several stipulations that AT&T had to agree upon, namely satisfying interference requirements and also allowing data roaming to competitors on the spectrum. Smaller networks have even requested that AT&T’s LTE network must be interoperable with bands used on their networks, which sadly the request was denied by the FCC. Looks like AT&T now has more LTE juice to churn out to their loyal users.
